I know I’ve mentioned before how much I like working with these guys but they’re just so much fun! They had their ceremony at Lindley Park Baptist Church which was beautiful! Stacy walked to Death Cab for Cutie’s I Will Follow You Into the Dark played on the piano and it was an oddly touching choice. And when the officiant pronounced them husband and wife they shook hands before kissing, which charmed everyone in attendance. Then, at Revolution Mills, the bridal party was announced with the bride and bride’s maids wearing big fake moustaches! Stacy did the robot with her father, which was a lot of fun! The bride and groom had painted their cake topper to be a zombie couple and two of their friends had written and recorded a song about them that they danced to! Their final dance was to Kermit and Miss Piggy’s song from the end of The Muppets Take Manhattan, He’ll Make Me Happy, which was completely enchanting. These guys are an incredible couple and we were thrilled to be a part of their event!

These guys were a ton of fun! Their event was at the Emerald Event Center in Greensboro and it was wonderful. The ceremony was very sweet but the reception was where the real fun began. Right after the couple was announced the bridal party performed a dance routine they had been working on which turned into a dance off between the girls and the guys! Then they had the best Soul Train dance line I’ve seen at an event before, it was outstanding! And then, toward the end of the night, guests from another wedding going on in another hall dropped to celebrate with the couple. But, all the fun aside, there really was a lot of love in the room. The toasts were were very touching and it just reminded you how beautiful a union like this is.

posted on 10.23.09 Stacy's Bridal Portraits!

Stacy & Alex had their wedding not long ago so I finally get to post Stacy’s bridal portraits! I was very excited about this shoot because Stacy was very open to letting me be creative and she was very brave with her dress. She said she didn’t want the traditional studio/park portraits so I found an abandoned barn where we could get some interesting backgrounds. We got some amazing shots (while still being very careful with her dress) before moving back to the studio where I just had to snap a few of her in my living room set. I love the shot we got of her in her pink Chucks! I am thrilled with the results and I know Stacy is as well!

We had such a great time at Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer’s Gathering of Friends last Thursday! Elizabeth Edwards spoke, and afterwards we had the honor of taking photos of Mrs. Edwards as she signed her book for the attendees. In the photo is Kara Schmidt McBurney, Elizabeth Edwards, Martha Kaley and Laura Williston.
Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer is the only 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in the United States focused exclusively on funding research to find a biological earlier detection test for breast cancer.
FRIENDS was established to generate, collect, protect, and distribute money for this one purpose.
It really is an amazing charity so pleas help support it: http://earlier.org/ posted on 10.22.09
